Some people try to do the gap-year abroad. And they try to use ESL teaching as a way to pay for those experiences. There are a lot of positive that could be gained from doing thi-but be careful.

China

I taught in China. Overall-not bad. Few coworkers were pieces of shit but not a bad thing.

Made a friend that I talk to constantly, even years after the fact.

Korea

Korea was different. Coworkers were even bigger pieces of shit than what I experienced in China. One actually caused nothing but problems for the rest of us and caused us to do more work than absolutely necessary.

She was a nice enough person though. And wasn't someone that I would wish ill towards as a person. She....just needed to get some issues straightened out in order to become a better person.
